Getting Started

How do I set up Cliniq for the first time?

After creating your account, go to Settings → Practice Profile. Add your clinic name, specialty, and address. Then open Availability to set your bookable hours. Finally, copy your personal booking link from the Dashboard and share it with your patients. The whole setup takes about 3 minutes.

Do patients need to create an account to book?

No. Patients book through your personal link directly in any browser or messaging app — no account, no app download required. They enter their name, contact details, and select a slot. That's it.

Can I manage multiple clinic locations?

Yes. Pro plan supports up to 3 locations; Clinic plan supports unlimited locations. Each location has its own availability, booking link, and pricing. Switch between locations in the top navigation bar.

Reminders & No-Shows

How do automated reminders work?

When a patient books, Cliniq instantly sends a confirmation. It then automatically sends a 24-hour reminder and a 1-hour reminder before the appointment. Each message includes a one-tap link to confirm, cancel, or reschedule — reducing friction for the patient and no-shows for you.

Can I customise the reminder message templates?

Yes — Pro and Clinic plans include full message template customisation. Go to Settings → Reminders to edit the text, choose which channels to use (SMS, email, or both), and set custom timing intervals.

How do deposits work to prevent no-shows?

Enable the deposit feature in Settings → Payments. Set a deposit amount (e.g. $25). Patients pay this at the time of booking via Stripe. The deposit is applied to their consultation fee or refunded if they cancel within your cancellation window.

Billing & Subscription

Will I be charged automatically after the free trial?

No. No credit card is required during the 14-day free trial. When the trial ends, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. You choose if and when to upgrade — we will never charge you without your explicit action.

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?

Go to Settings → Billing. You can upgrade instantly; downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data is retained on the Free plan after downgrading.

Do you offer refunds?

Monthly plans are non-refundable after the billing date. Annual plans include a pro-rata refund if you cancel within 30 days of your annual renewal and have used less than 2 months of the plan. Contact support@cliniq.com for assistance.

Data & Security

Is patient data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), hosted on hardened cloud infrastructure, with SOC 2 certification in progress. Patient records are logically isolated per practice account and are never shared with third parties or used for advertising.

Can I export my data?

Absolutely. Go to Settings → Data Export to download a full CSV export of your appointment history and patient records at any time. Your data is yours — always.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Upon account deletion, all practice data and patient records are permanently purged from our servers within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
